Since 2015, Bamboo Bike Tours has been committed to promoting responsible tourism in Barcelona, emphasizing sustainability and respect for the local environment. Our small-group guided tours take you through Barcelona’s iconic sites and hidden gems while preserving the peace and charm of the city’s neighborhoods.

Our bamboo bikes, handcrafted in Barcelona, offer a sustainable, eco-friendly mode of transportation, perfect for authentic exploration. Made from natural, renewable materials, they help reduce our carbon footprint while supporting local artisans and fair trade practices.

 

Commitment to Sustainable Tourism and a Circular Economy

Our mission is to minimize environmental impact while boosting Barcelona’s local economy. Through our brand, ETIKA Bikes, we create unique bikes designed in Barcelona that combine artisanal skill and high-quality materials for a comfortable and responsible ride. Since 2018, we have partnered with José Manel Gruas Figuera, a farmer in Lleida, to co-manage a 5,000 m² bamboo plantation, ensuring a sustainable source of local bamboo.

We also work to make our activities accessible to all, offering mobility solutions for people with disabilities and creating inclusive job opportunities.

We organize tours of the most emblematic and hidden corners of the city, always in small groups to respect the peace and quiet of residents, using locally-made bamboo bikes to offer sustainable urban mobility solutions.

Our goal is to minimize environmental impact and support the local economy through sustainable products, local craftsmanship, and fair trade. Our mission is to contribute to the circular economy through the use of locally-made bamboo bikes, an urban mobility solution that reduces the carbon footprint. In addition to supporting local craftsmanship and promoting fair trade, we aim to have a positive economic impact on the community by encouraging sustainable products and working with local suppliers.

This is where our new “ETIKA BIKES” models come into play. By producing them in Barcelona, we hope to develop and promote local craftsmanship. Craftsmanship is a blend of human expertise and high-quality materials. With this in mind, we have partnered with bamboo producers and are co-managing a 5,000m² bamboo plantation in Lleida, Catalonia.
